The component shown in the photo is used in lighting systems. It is made of glass-bonded mica which, being a ceramoplast material, has the same good electrical insulation, temperature and fire resistance of ceramics, and the toughness of plastics.
It is shaped by insert moulding which allows insertion of moulded-in metal parts. |
