The three coloured tail light glass from a car is produced in three operations on a multicolour injection moulding machine.
First, one of the colours is moulded using acrylic plastic. Part of the die is changed leaving a cavity for the next colour. A different colour of the same plastic is then injected and the colours mix in the border zone. This is then repeeted for more colours. |
